Job Description

  • Operate and monitor gas turbines, steam turbines, diesel generators, boilers, generators, transformers, pumps and auxiliary systems.
  • Monitor plant parameters through DCS/SCADA/control-room systems.
  • Coordinate plant/unit start-up and shutdown.
  • Handle load increases/decreases and equipment switching.
  • Identify abnormal readings, alarms and equipment/process problems.
  • Take immediate action during trips, breakdowns, power interruptions and emergency situations.
  • Conduct/lead routine plant rounds and equipment inspections.
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical and instrumentation maintenance teams.
  • Review shift logs, alarms, operating parameters and performance data.
  • Guide and supervise junior Operators during the shift.
  • Ensure operations comply with SOPs and HSE requirements.
