About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Process Safety Engineer with a strong background in HSE, Loss Prevention, and Process Safety. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including experience in FEED (Front-End Engineering Design), detailed design, and project management consulting (PMC), with a focus on onshore projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage process safety aspects of onshore oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Provide expertise in process safety, HSE management, and loss prevention during all project phases (FEED, design, commissioning).
- Conduct hazard analysis (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, etc.) and risk assessments to ensure process safety integrity.
- Collaborate with design teams to integrate process safety solutions into design packages.
- Review and validate safety-related designs and systems to ensure they meet project specifications and industry best practices.
- Act as a key advisor on process safety during the project lifecycle, from conceptualization through to commissioning.
- Ensure continuous improvement of safety practices and contribute to safety audits and incident investigations.
- Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and resolution of process safety concerns.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong background in process safety, HSE, and loss prevention.
- Proven experience in FEED and detailed design phases, particularly in onshore oil and gas projects.
- Experience in PMC (Project Management Consultancy) and working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and safety management systems.
- Experience with hazard analysis techniques, risk management, and safety case preparation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
