About the Company

Our client is a leading international contractor delivering some of the most technically complex projects across Saudi Arabia.

About the Role

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to join their Riyadh team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the procurement and commercial success of major construction projects, working alongside highly experienced project delivery and engineering teams. Candidates with experience on Data Centre, Mission Critical, Industrial or other complex building projects will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the procurement of subcontract packages across major construction projects.
  • Develop procurement strategies that align with project delivery programmes and commercial objectives.
  • Manage the full procurement process from market engagement and tendering through to negotiation and award.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors throughout Saudi Arabia.
  • Work closely with engineering, commercial and project teams to ensure procurement activities support successful project delivery.
  • Identify procurement risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate tenders, negotiate commercial terms and make award recommendations.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and market trends.
  • Mentor and support junior procurement professionals where required.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
  • Engineering background within Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or another construction discipline is highly desirable.
  • At least 10 years procurement experience within a leading construction contractor.
  • Proven experience procuring subcontract packages for large-scale construction projects.
  • Previous exposure to Data Centre or other technically complex projects is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Saudi Arabian subcontracting market.
  • Established relationships with subcontractors across Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical trades.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Saudi Arabia is highly advantageous.
