The Senior Procurement Manager provides strategic leadership for all procurement and supply chain activities across luxury hospitality and high-profile construction projects. The role is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, optimizing commercial value, managing key supplier and subcontractor relationships, mitigating supply chain risks, and ensuring the successful delivery of project and corporate objectives. The position plays a critical role in supporting business growth, operational excellence, and profitability through effective procurement governance and leadership.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with corporate and project objectives.
- Lead the procurement of major civil, structural, architectural, façade, fit-out, landscaping, and specialist construction packages.
- Direct all tendering, evaluation, negotiation, award, and contract administration activities for material suppliers and subcontractors.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors to secure long-term value, reliability, and supply continuity.
- Collaborate with executive management, project directors, commercial teams, and stakeholders to support project delivery and business objectives.
- Drive procurement excellence through effective cost management, value engineering, strategic sourcing, and market intelligence.
- Identify and mitigate commercial, contractual, and supply chain risks that may impact project performance.
- Establish procurement governance, policies, and best practices to ensure compliance, transparency, and operational efficiency.
- Lead supplier performance management and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
- Oversee procurement planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance measurement through SAP ERP and management dashboards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop procurement teams, fostering a high-performance and results-oriented culture.
- Support corporate initiatives related to sustainability, HSE, quality, and operational excellence.
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Extensive knowledge of procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, and supply chain operations within the construction industry.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven expertise in managing high-value procurement packages and supplier negotiations.
- Deep understanding of civil, structural, architectural finishes, façade systems, fit-out, and specialist construction procurement.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong analytical, financial, and risk management skills.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP and procurement performance reporting.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Job Experience
- Minimum 18 years of progressive procurement experience within the construction industry.
- Minimum 8 years in a senior management or leadership role with a leading main contractor.
- Proven track record in delivering procurement strategies for large-scale luxury hospitality, mixed-use, landmark, or iconic construction projects.
- GCC/Middle East experience is highly preferred.
