Job Summary
The Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing sourcing and purchasing activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of materials and services required for operations. The role focuses on supplier management, procurement planning, and negotiating favorable terms to support operational efficiency and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, supplier selection, and purchase order management.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and reliable supply.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
- Monitor procurement budgets and ensure cost control across purchasing activities.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand operational needs and ensure timely procurement of required materials and services.
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Track and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Prepare procurement reports and maintain accurate purchasing documentation.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
- Previous experience in agriculture, FMCG, manufacturing, or export-oriented industries is preferred.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Understanding of supply chain operations and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems or procurement management systems is preferred.
- Good command of English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
