Role overview
We are looking for an experienced senior procurement specialist to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of procurement experience within the FMCG sector, strong supplier management skills, and proven ability to drive cost savings and process improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities for raw materials, packaging, and indirect in line with business needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers; evaluate and onboard new vendors.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, contracts, and service-level agreements to achieve best value.
- Conduct market research and cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvement.
- Manage procurement planning and ensure timely delivery to production and distribution centers.
- Implement and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and KPI tracking.
- Collaborate with supply chain, quality, finance, and production teams to align procurement with operational goals.
- Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery, lead times) and lead corrective actions where necessary.
- Support inventory optimization initiatives and participate in demand forecasting discussions.
- Prepare regular reports and present procurement performance to senior management.
Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in the FMCG industry.
- Strong negotiation, supplier relationship management, and contract management skills.
- Experience with procurement systems / ERPs and MS Office (Excel competency required).
- Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory management principles.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Based in or willing to commute to New Cairo (Fifth Settlement).
