Job Description

Role: Product Owner

  • Lead a team of POs and BAs in agile delivery squads for businessONLINE (web, mobile, Host to Host, API Banking).
  • Ensure enterprise-level availability of new products/features for other entities (EI and International) based on demand and relevance.
  • Oversee BRD review and acceptance, ensure timely FSD creation, and set delivery timelines with vendors and platform owners.
  • Review, prioritize, and publish the channel backlog, including conducting epic/feature prioritization and Usability Testing workshops.
  • Maintain updated test case repositories with real business scenarios and leverage automated testing for efficiency.
  • Communicate the product release plan and conduct comprehensive production sanity with pilot clients prior to launch.
  • Own and resolve all Technology Risks, Issues, Problem Tickets, Audit Issues, and Resiliency issues (Technical Debt) according to defined SLAs and committed timelines.
  • Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for collating and prioritizing all product enhancements, bug fixes, regulatory, and technical demands across all group entities.
  • Align and execute global Product Strategy with overall Business strategy, acting as the voice of the customer.
  • Manage global Executive stakeholders, establish consistent communication, and handle conflict/issue resolution across Product Squads.
  • Develop and implement Product Commercialization and Customer adoption strategies, drive awareness campaigns, and conduct training for BAs and Testers.

Product Ownership

  • Own the product's strategy, delivery, commercialization, and lifecycle.
  • Own Product Financials, maximizing ROI, and actively reducing Technical Debt (Code Refactoring, Resiliency, Performance).
  • Own Product's Operational Processes, ensuring resolution of Audit, Compliance, Risk, and Security Issues per committed SLAs.
  • Own Product Technical Support, including Incidents, Problem Tickets, and customer queries/complaints.

Product Backlog Management

  • Develop and explicitly communicate the Product Goal.
  • Create a clear, value-driven backlog (Epics/Features/User Stories/Acceptance Criteria) and prioritize items.
  • Ensure the Product Backlog is transparent, visible, and understood by all stakeholders.
  • Maintain a refined backlog of T+2 Sprints (where T is current sprint) to ensure adequate work for the team.

Product Release Backlog

  • Create the Release Backlog to clearly define features intended for release.
  • Establish a customer feedback loop.
  • Enable Early Value Delivery and improve ROI by intelligently creating MVPs.

Demand Sizing and Prioritization

  • Receive, collate, and prioritize all functional and technical demands across global stakeholders (business segments and geographies).
  • Refine and size demands with the help of the team.
  • Communicate and align Cost and Delivery Timelines for demands with respective stakeholders.

Product Delivery

  • Accountable for end-to-end product delivery per committed timelines/sizing.
  • Conduct Refinement and Planning sessions.
  • Work with Scrum Masters to improve team efficiency by identifying impediments and providing necessary inputs/support.
  • Align product delivery dependencies with other platforms (with SM/Agile Release Lead).
  • Ensure Solution Architects design the right and efficient solution to fulfill customer expectations.

Stakeholder Management

  • Manage and identify product stakeholders.
  • Conduct Feature Prioritization Sessions to seek stakeholders alignment.
  • Establish and maintain critical communication channels to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Conduct Product Demo sessions to seek stakeholder feedback.
