Job Description
The Programme Manager will oversee multiple interrelated projects within the payments ecosystem, ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives. This role requires strong leadership, domain expertise in acquiring, issuing, and digital payments, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams to deliver complex programs on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Program Strategy & Planning
- Define program scope, objectives, and success metrics aligned with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain program roadmaps for payment-related initiatives.
- Execution & Delivery
- Coordinate multiple projects (e.g., card acquiring, merchant onboarding, payment gateways, fraud systems).
- Manage dependencies across projects and ensure timely delivery.
- Stakeholder Management
- Engage with senior leadership, product teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Communicate program status, risks, and mitigation plans effectively.
- Risk & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to PCI DSS, local regulatory requirements, and security standards.
- Identify and mitigate operational and financial risks.
- Budget & Resource Management
- Develop and monitor program budgets.
- Optimize resource allocation across projects.
- Continuous Improvement
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and apply lessons learned.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Certifications: PMP, MSP, or PgMP; Agile/Scrum certifications are a plus.
- Experience:
- 8+ years in program/project management with at least 3 years in payments or financial services.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale payment transformation programs.
- Skills:
- Deep understanding of acquiring, issuing, payment gateways, and digital wallets.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance (PCI DSS, AML, KYC).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
