Job Description
We are seeking a
Senior Project Control Engineer to join our Construction Supervision team for a major
Utilities and Infrastructure project in
Abu Dhabi. The role involves managing cost, schedule, and progress control activities to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of the project in line with client requirements and project objectives.
Responsibilities
- Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop, update, and maintain the project master schedule using Primavera P6.
- Review contractors baseline programs and progress updates to ensure compliance with project milestones and contractual requirements.
- Analyze critical paths and constraints to determine the effect of changes on schedule and recommend corrective actions.
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track project progress and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for internal and client review.
- Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for cost and schedule performance.
- Evaluate contractors progress claims and support in progress certification.
- Cost Control & Budget Management:
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure alignment with approved financial plans.
- Assist in cost forecasting, variance analysis, and earned value management (EVM).
- Review and validate contractors invoices, variations, and claims from a cost and time perspective.
- Coordination & Communication:
- Interface with project managers, discipline engineers, and client representatives to provide accurate project control data.
- Support risk management and change control processes by providing time and cost impact assessments.
- Ensure proper documentation and version control of all project control deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 1015 years of experience in project controls within construction supervision of infrastructure and utilities projects (roads, sewerage, stormwater, potable water, irrigation, etc.).
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Excel, and other project control tools.
- Strong knowledge of cost control principles, earned value analysis, and reporting techniques.
- Experience working with major consultants or supervision teams in the UAE or GCC region preferred.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
