Job Summary
The Senior Project Engineer – Control Systems oversees the design, integration, implementation, and commissioning of control and automation systems for projects. The role includes reviewing technical documents, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, resolving engineering issues, and ensuring systems meet project specifications and industry standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead design, engineering, and integration of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and automation systems.
- Review control system architecture, logic diagrams, cause & effect charts, and I/O lists.
- Coordinate with instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, and process teams for system interfaces.
- Evaluate vendor proposals, review technical documents, and support procurement activities.
- Supervise installation, testing, loop checks, FAT/SAT, and commissioning of control systems.
- Troubleshoot control logic, communication networks, and system performance issues.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety guidelines.
- Prepare engineering reports, documentation, and progress updates.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Control Systems Engineering, Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in control systems engineering or automation project roles.
- Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI, communication protocols, and industrial networks.
- Experience in EPC/Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Industrial Automation projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and control system design/configuration tools.
