Position Summary:
An experienced engineer will work under Delivery Engineering Department responsible to coordinate the various project execution activities during delivery/execution phase. This role is client-facing. The candidate will be part of a project team functionally reporting to a Project Manager for a specific client's contract. The primary role is to ensure successful delivery of digital projects as planned and to the client's satisfaction. In addition, the engineer will be responsible to drive recovery from schedule, cost, and/or scope deviations effectively. Should be an expert in one or more disciplines that directly affect project performance, including but not limited to planning and scheduling, project execution, estimation/cost control, value engineering, project coordination, interface management, and cross-solution integration.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, execute, and monitor project execution plans / delivery schedules.
- Collaboratively work under guidance of Project Manager, Delivery Engineering Manager, and Delivery Specialists to ensure projects are executed strictly as planned.
- Oversee and lead various project activities including design, configuration/build, deployment, testing (FAT/UAT, SAT/iUAT, PATs, etc.), site commissioning, and closure/hand-over.
- Validate and communicate any scope changes to follow Change Control procedures.
- Review and certify invoicing activities from clients or to suppliers.
- Develop project progress update presentations/reports including SPIs, CPIs, etc.
- Closely monitor project performance indices and highlight any forecasted risks of slippages/deviations as part of the reporting process.
- Hold recurring meetings with client personnel onsite during execution.
- Ensure that all designs and other work outputs related to solution design are of a quality consistent with business needs and industry standards.
- Formulate and implement strategies to improve project planning, cost, schedule, and/or quality.
- Evaluate existing tools and methodologies and make recommendations on their implementation.
- Lead internal or external problem-solving teams as directed by management.
- Conduct project management training to develop younger engineers.
- Participate in the development of standards, guidelines, instructions, policies and procedures on an as-required basis.
- Participate in the review and evaluation of the capabilities of vendors/sub-contractors, suppliers, and project management related service providers
- Fully aligned with company objectives and code of conduct.
- Undertake any other activity as reasonably requested.
Educational Background, Experience and Qualifications:
- Education: BSc degree in engineering preferably computer-related field.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years relevant experience in digitalization and software projects.
- Digitalization Project Management: Demonstrated experience in digitalization/software development life cycle, and the wider principles of project management. Holds PMP certification or equivalent.
- Project Planning & Scheduling: Working knowledge of planning/scheduling methods such as CPM, PERT, crunching, etc.
- Agile/Scrum: Holds certifications demonstrating knowledge and flexibility to apply emerging modern approaches.
- Software Experience: Certified in at least 1 MOM application/component (e.g., Microsoft PowerBI, etc.)
- Contractual Knowledge: Ability to consult client contractual documentations to ensure compliance especially regarding schedule, cost/financial, and quality.
- Personality: Project-driven with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. Flexible to handle wide range of coordination tasks. Eager and able to learn quickly and independently.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
