To lead and oversee construction supervision activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The role involves close coordination with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities1. Construction Supervision & ExecutionLead on-site construction supervision and ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
Monitor daily site activities and provide technical guidance to site teams.
Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, project standards, and HSE requirements.
Act as the primary point of contact between consultants, main contractors, and internal departments.
Coordinate with design consultants to resolve technical issues and discrepancies.
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of materials/services.
Review and evaluate contractor submissions including:
Shop drawings
Material submittals
Method statements
Work schedules
Ensure submissions meet project specifications and provide timely approvals/comments.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
Track project progress against timelines and milestones.
Identify potential delays or risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Development Manager (DM) highlighting:
Critical issues
Risks and delays
Required decisions
Chair and lead site progress meetings with contractors and consultants.
Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and follow up on action items.
Maintain proper documentation of all site activities, approvals, and communications.
Ensure all construction activities meet quality standards and project specifications.
Conduct inspections and coordinate with QA/QC teams for quality assurance.
Address non-conformance issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Identify critical technical and operational issues and escalate to the DM.
Proactively manage risks related to cost, time, and quality.
Support dispute resolution and claims review if required.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum 812 years of experience in construction supervision, preferably in large-scale projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project management, and contract administration.
Experience working with consultants and main contractors.
Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office.
