Job Summary
The Senior Project Engineer – Mechanical (Piping) oversees the engineering, planning, and execution of piping-related project activities. The role ensures technical accuracy, proper coordination across disciplines, compliance with standards, and timely delivery of mechanical/piping works from design to installation.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical piping design, review layouts, isometrics, MTOs, and technical documents.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and QA/QC teams for project execution.
- Resolve piping-related technical issues and provide engineering clarifications.
- Monitor site progress, support installation, fabrication, hydrotesting, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, ASME/ANSI/API standards, and safety regulations.
- Review vendor documents, support procurement, and evaluate technical submissions.
- Prepare project progress reports, interface updates, and documentation.
- Identify risks, delays, and ensure corrective actions for smooth project execution.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–10 years of experience in mechanical/piping engineering, preferably in EPC, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical projects.
- Strong knowledge of piping design, materials, codes, and construction practices.
- Experience with piping design tools, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
- Hands-on experience with site execution, testing, and commissioning of piping systems.
