Job Purpose
Hydrotek is seeking a highly experienced Senior Pumps Sales Engineer to strengthen our technical leadership and expand our market presence across Saudi Arabia. This role combines deep expertise in pump systems with strong presales leadership and commercial execution.
The ideal candidate brings a solid background in pump hydraulics, system design, technical problem-solving, assembly knowledge, and AutoCAD drafting, and is confident engaging consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders throughout the full sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical & Presales Leadership
- Lead presales engineering activities including hydraulic calculations, pump sizing, system selection, and technical optimization.
- Prepare, review, and validate technical submittals, compliance documents, and value-engineered alternatives.
- Develop AutoCAD layouts, pump room drawings, and system schematics.
- Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and ensure full compliance with project specifications and standards.
2. Sales & Commercial Execution
- Achieve assigned sales revenue and margin targets.
- Manage opportunity pipelines, sales forecasts, and commercial negotiations.
- Convert technical engagements into awarded purchase orders through effective solution positioning.
3. Market, Product & Assembly Expertise
- Maintain strong knowledge of pump brands, models, applications, and market trends.
- Identify high-demand pump sizes and support inventory planning initiatives.
- Evaluate assembly workshops and recommend optimized technical and commercial solutions.
4. Consultant, Contractor & Client Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, EPC contractors, and client representatives across KSA.
- Provide technical clarifications and support strong positioning during bid evaluations and project reviews.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with design, workshop, procurement, and service teams to ensure alignment.
- Support post-award handover, design reviews, and smooth project execution.
6. Reporting & Market Intelligence
- Submit accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and customer insights.
- Monitor competitor activities and market offerings, recommending strategic actions as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MBA is a plus).
- 710 years of experience in pump presales and sales.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- In-depth understanding of pump hydraulics, system design, and assembly processes.
- Established professional network with consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders in Saudi Arabia.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in Arabic, English is an advantage.
- Valid KSA driving license.
