Job Description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Manual QA Engineer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing requirements, creating and executing test cases, identifying bugs, and ensuring that our software products meet the highest standards of quality before release.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review business and technical requirements to ensure testability and clarity.

  • Design, document, and execute manual test cases based on functional specifications.

  • Perform different types of testing, including functional, regression, smoke, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).

  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and resolve issues.

  • Verify bug fixes and perform re-testing to ensure stability of releases.

  • Participate in test planning, estimation, and reporting activities.

  • Ensure test coverage and maintain traceability between requirements and test cases.

  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and best QA practices.



Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including both manual and automation testing.

  • Strong experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar.

  • Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Proficiency in writing test scripts using languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.

  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database validation.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior QA team members.
