Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior QA/QC Engineer specialized in Mechanical Engineering for our Exploration and Production (E&P) projects in the Gulf region. This role requires a seasoned professional who can ensure that all engineering processes and outputs meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement QA/QC procedures and protocols for mechanical engineering projects in the oil and gas sector.
- Conduct inspections and tests on materials, components, and systems to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for non-conformance issues.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation and reports for all phases of the project.
- Provide training and guidance to junior QA/QC staff and project teams on quality standards and best practices.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 15-25 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations such as API, ASME, ISO 9001, and other relevant quality standards.
- Experience with inspection techniques and testing methodologies relevant to mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in using QA/QC software and tools for tracking and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
