Job Purpose:
To ensure architectural works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and project quality requirements. The Senior QC Architect will monitor, inspect, and report on the quality of architectural finishes and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve non-conformities.
Key Responsibilities:
Review architectural drawings, material submittals, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications and local regulations.
Supervise and inspect all architectural finishing works on site (e.g., blockwork, plaster, waterproofing, cladding, painting, ceilings, flooring, doors/windows, etc.).
Prepare and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Method Statements related to architectural works.
Conduct regular site inspections and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when necessary.
Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Liaise with consultants, engineers, and construction teams to resolve design and quality-related issues.
Review and approve architectural mock-ups and material samples.
Ensure timely closure of all quality-related issues through corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain detailed QC documentation and daily inspection reports.
Participate in internal and external quality audits.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior QC staff and site supervisors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
Minimum of 810 years of experience in architectural quality control in large-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of building materials, finishing techniques, and architectural detailing.
Familiar with international quality standards (ISO 9001), local codes, and regulations.
Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications.
Good command of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and quality management systems.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
