Senior QC Test Automation Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior QC Test Automation Engineer who can take end-to-end ownership of quality across enterprise products and technology platforms.

The ideal candidate should combine strong test automation expertise with manual and exploratory testing skills. The role requires the ability to understand complex product architectures, identify critical quality risks, build reusable automation frameworks and ensure reliable releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks.

• Automate functional, regression, smoke, API, integration and database testing.

• Perform manual, exploratory, negative and end-to-end testing.

• Test web applications, REST APIs, microservices and mobile applications.

• Validate role-based access, workflows, reports, dashboards and system integrations.

• Conduct performance, load, stress and reliability testing.

• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.

• Define release quality gates, test coverage and acceptance criteria.

• Analyse defects, production issues and recurring failures.

• Build regression suites for critical and production defects.

• Collaborate with product managers, architects, developers and DevOps teams.

• Mentor QC engineers and establish quality engineering best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in automation framework design and development.

• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright or Cypress.

• Experience with REST Assured, Postman/Newman or similar API testing tools.

• Programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Strong knowledge of API, microservices and database testing.

• Good SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle or MySQL.

• Experience with JMeter, Gatling or other performance testing tools.

• Experience integrating tests with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.

• Understanding of Git, Docker, Linux and cloud-based deployments.

Preferred Experience

• Testing enterprise platforms, SaaS applications or high-volume transaction systems.

• Testing configurable, multi-tenant or workflow-driven applications.

• Experience with mobile automation using Appium.

• Exposure to Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQTT or other messaging platforms.

• Experience in utility, IoT, billing, ERP, HES or MDMS solutions will be an advantage.
