The Project
This is an opportunity to work on a large new build airport that will set a global benchmark for aviation experience and aims to attract 120 million passengers by 2030 in Saudi Arabia.
Mace is currently providing the programme management and is looking for high-caliber experienced people.
This role provides the training and competency assurance capacity required to confirm that personnel engaged in the program are qualified, competent, and authorised to perform their assigned activities. A structured competency framework, disciplined verification of qualifications, and evaluation of training effectiveness are essential to close competency gaps before they affect delivery and to demonstrate conformance with ISO 9001:2015 competence requirements.
You'll Be Responsible For
- Develop and maintain the program training and competency framework, including role-based competency matrices and assurance requirements.
- Conduct training needs analysis across program functions and maintain the annual training plan.
- Verify that personnel qualifications, certifications, and competency records meet contractual, regulatory, and QMS requirements.
- Coordinate delivery of technical training programs, including provider sourcing, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Maintain training and competency records within the QMIS, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and report competency gaps, closure actions, and completion status.
- Support internal and external audits relating to competence requirements and close out associated findings.
- Report training and competency KPIs and trends to management.
You'll Need To Have
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, human resources, or a related field.
- Certified training or assessment qualification (e.g., CIPD, ATD, TAP); ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification preferred.
- Experience in technical training, competency assurance, or learning and development roles within construction or infrastructure programs, including developing competency frameworks, conducting training needs analysis, and administering competency records on large-scale programs.
- Training needs analysis and competency assessment.
- Reporting, data analysis, time, and schedule management.
- Familiarity with QMS best practices and competence requirements.
