Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor the project Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan (QCP/QAP).
- Review project specifications, drawings, method statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and quality requirements.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.
- Coordinate and supervise QA/QC Engineers, Inspectors, and other quality personnel.
- Review and approve material submittals, material certificates, test reports, and technical documentation.
- Ensure that all required inspections and testing are carried out in accordance with approved ITPs and project requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management teams on quality-related matters.
- Conduct regular site inspections, quality audits, and surveillance activities.
- Identify quality issues and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage and monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Site Observation Reports (SORs), and Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
- Review and monitor inspection records, test results, quality documentation, and handover dossiers.
- Ensure that approved construction materials are properly received, stored, handled, and used on site.
- Participate in technical and progress meetings and provide updates on quality performance.
- Monitor subcontractors compliance with project quality requirements.
- Assist in preparing quality reports, KPIs, inspection records, and monthly quality reports.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all quality-related activities.
- Support internal and external quality audits and ensure closure of audit findings.
- Coordinate with commissioning and handover teams to ensure all quality documentation is completed and approved.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to QA/QC engineers and inspectors.
- Promote a strong quality culture and ensure compliance with project and company quality procedures.
Requirement :
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant QA/QC experience, preferably in major construction or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in large-scale building, infrastructure, airport, or similar projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of international standards and codes such as ISO, ASTM, BS, EN, ACI, and applicable local requirements.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing QAPs, ITPs, Method Statements, and inspection procedures.
- Strong experience in NCR management, quality audits, inspections, testing, and documentation.
- Familiarity with project quality management systems and document control processes.
- Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple quality activities and work effectively under project deadlines.
