ABOUT THE ROLE

Lead discipline-level MEP quality activities, ensuring inspection readiness, correct installation, compliant materials, complete records and timely closure of quality issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement the project quality plan, ITPs and checklists for assigned mechanical/electrical work packages.

• Review approved drawings, specifications, method statements and material approvals before inspections and verify site work against the latest revision.

• Perform pre-inspections and coordinate WIR/MIR submissions and consultant/client inspections; minimize rejection through disciplined readiness checks.

• Verify material identification, storage, approvals, traceability and installation before use and report non-compliant items.

• Witness and document required tests including pressure/leak tests, flushing, duct tests, cable tests, insulation/continuity tests and other discipline-specific activities.

• Raise internal observations/NCRs where necessary and lead root-cause, corrective and preventive actions through verified closure.

• Coordinate closely with construction and technical teams to resolve quality issues without compromising approved requirements.

• Maintain inspection logs, test records, calibration records, material registers and quality dossiers for handover.

• Monitor subcontractor quality performance and coach engineers/supervisors on recurring defects and workmanship standards.

• Support internal/external audits, snagging, testing/commissioning and project close-out.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, aligned with assigned discipline.

• Minimum 15 years of relevant MEP QA/QC experience, including senior discipline responsibility.

• Bachelor's degree relevant to assigned Mechanical or Electrical discipline.

• Strong understanding of inspection/testing requirements, ITPs, method statements, material approvals, WIR/MIR and NCR processes.

• Good knowledge of applicable MEP codes/standards and project specifications.

• UAE/GCC experience on major building projects is strongly preferred.

• ISO 9001 internal/lead auditor or other quality certification is an advantage.

• Strong documentation, coordination, root-cause analysis and consultant-facing skills.
