Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, performance, and security of our software applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software testing methodologies, test automation, API testing, and end-to-end application validation.

The QA Engineer will work closely with Software Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and DevOps Engineers throughout the software development life cycle to identify defects early, improve product quality, and establish effective quality standards.

Responsibilities:

-Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases. - Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing. - Validate web, mobile, and backend applications across different environments. - Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through to resolution. - Perform root-cause analysis and work closely with development teams to reproduce and resolve issues. - Conduct end-to-end testing across multiple systems and integrations.

-Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases for web, mobile, and API applications. - Select and implement appropriate automation frameworks and tools. - Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. - Continuously improve test automation coverage, reliability, and execution time.

- Perform comprehensive REST API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or equivalent. - Validate API functionality, authentication, authorization, error handling, response structures, and data integrity. - Perform database validation using SQL queries. - Test integrations between internal and external systems.

- Support performance, load, and stress testing activities. - Identify application performance issues and work with development and DevOps teams to investigate bottlenecks. - Validate application behavior under different workloads and conditions.

- Establish and maintain QA standards, testing methodologies, and best practices. - Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test execution reports, and defect reports. - Participate in requirements reviews, design reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions. - Contribute to continuous improvement of the software development and QA processes. - Ensure software releases meet defined quality and acceptance criteria.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- 3+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Testing.

- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.

- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA best practices.

- Hands-on experience with web and API testing.

- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

- Experience with defect management and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or equivalent.

- Experience with Git and version control systems.

- Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, JSON, and authentication mechanisms.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
