Senior Quality Assurance Test Engineer

Full time, permanent role- onsite

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Test Engineer with 10+ years of experience in software testing and test automation.

The role will focus on testing both Web/UI and Backend/API systems, developing automation frameworks, improving test processes, and ensuring the quality and reliability of our digital platforms.

The ideal candidate should be hands-on, technically strong, and comfortable working with developers, product teams, DevOps, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation & QA

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks.
• Develop automated tests for Web/UI, API, and Backend systems.
• Create and maintain functional and regression test suites.
• Perform both manual and automated testing depending on project requirements.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform performance, load, and scalability testing.
• Test databases and backend processes using SQL.
• Monitor test coverage and identify gaps.
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
• Use AI-assisted testing tools where appropriate to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

Teamwork & Leadership

• Work closely with developers, Product Managers, Architects, DevOps, and other teams.
• Support and mentor junior QA engineers.
• Provide technical guidance on automation and testing best practices.
• Report testing progress, risks, issues, and overall quality status to management.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support release planning and ensure testing is completed before releases.

Continuous Improvement

• Improve existing QA and automation processes.
• Research and recommend new testing tools and frameworks.
• Increase automation coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
• Identify ways to improve testing speed, quality, and overall software delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in QA and test automation.
• Strong experience in both Front-End/Web UI and Back-End/API testing.
• Proven experience building and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing pipelines.
• Previous experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to QA team members.

Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with:

• Selenium
• Cypress
• Playwright
• Rest Assured
• Postman
• JMeter
• Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar programming languages
• SQL and database testing
• Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools
• Functional, regression, API, performance, and automated testing
• Software testing methodologies, QA metrics, and defect/bug lifecycle

Nice to have:

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Exposure to Blockchain, Crypto, or Web3 platforms
• Experience with AI-assisted testing tools

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Senior QA Engineer who can independently design automation frameworks, write and execute automated tests, troubleshoot technical issues, and work closely with development and DevOps teams.

They should be comfortable taking ownership of QA activities, improving existing processes, and helping junior team members develop their technical skills.
