Senior Quality Tester

Job Summary:

This role ensures the delivery of high-quality software by maintaining testing efforts, identifying defects, and validating system functionality against user and business requirements. In addition, the role maintains consistent testing standards, adapts strategies to evolving technologies, and executes both manual and automated tests to minimize risks and support timely releases. It also contributes to improving user experience, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring the reliability of development outcomes across platforms and environments.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Plan and coordinate testing activities by following structured processes and predefined schedules to ensure timely and organized execution across all phases of the project and identify defects early and ensure alignment with business needs.
2. Prepare test plans and user acceptance testing (UAT) documents by analyzing business and technical requirements to provide clear direction for testing and confirm that the system meets user expectations.
3. Design, write, and execute test cases (manual and automated) by using tools such as Selenium, Java, TestNG, and Postman to validate system functionality, integration, and performance efficiently.
4. Log and escalate issues by reporting bugs in Jira and preparing detailed reports for daily meetings to facilitate prompt resolution and informed decision-making.
5. Contribute to sprint planning and Agile ceremonies by estimating testing efforts and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align deliverables with timelines and development capacity.
6. Execute various levels of testing—including Functional, Integration, System, Performance, and Regression—by applying appropriate test strategies and frameworks to ensure comprehensive validation of the software's quality and reliability.
7. Handle testing across platforms and environments by coordinating tests on desktop, web, and mobile systems in various staging setups to ensure consistent user experience and system performance in real-world conditions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 3 – 5 years of experience.
