Job Description

lead cost management and quantity surveying activities for large construction and infrastructure projects. Your main responsibility is to ensure projects are delivered within budget while managing contracts, costs, risks, claims, and financial reporting.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or related field.
  • 7-10 years total experience.
  • 5-7 years relevant Quantity Surveying / Cost Engineering experience.
  • Experience on large construction or infrastructure projects (AED 500M+ preferred).
  • RICS certification or equivalent is an advantage.

Main Responsibilities

1. Cost Planning & Estimation

  • Prepare and review project budgets, estimates, and cost plans.
  • Provide accurate cost advice to support project decisions.
  • Develop and maintain cost benchmarks and estimating standards.

2. Contract Administration

  • Manage contracts, variations, claims, and final accounts.
  • Evaluate contractor claims and provide recommendations.
  • Ensure contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

3. Risk Management

  • Identify and manage project cost and contractual risks.
  • Recommend mitigation strategies to reduce financial exposure.

4. Cost Reporting

  • Prepare cost forecasts and project financial reports.
  • Monitor project spending and performance against budget.
  • Support management with accurate cost information.

5. Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with project teams, consultants, contractors, procurement, finance, and legal teams.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on cost-related matters.
