Role overview

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of multiple residential projects across Dubai, within a consultancy / PMC environment.

The role will focus on post-contract commercial management, including valuations, variations, cost reporting, and contract administration, ensuring projects are delivered in line with budget and contractual requirements.

You will work across multiple projects, supporting commercial activities, maintaining accurate reporting, and liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.

Strong experience in post-contract and contract administration (preferably under FIDIC) is essential, along with the ability to manage workload across multiple projects and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Contract Experience

• Prepare detailed NRM elemental cost plans.
• Develop bills of quantities (POMI, CESMM, CSI).
• Conduct pre-tender estimates and benchmarking.
• Exhibit outstanding knowledge of local market rates.
• Lead procurement and tendering activities.
• Prepare and execute contracts.

Post-Contract Experience

• Manage remeasure and lump sum contracts.
• Handle contract administration, including claims, variations, and cost reporting.
• Oversee interim payments, final accounts, and the maintenance of bonds, warranties, and insurances.
• Proactively manage risk and stakeholder expectations.

Team Management

• Act as a team lead, prioritizing work and overseeing multiple deliverables simultaneously.
• Support performance and development planning for team members.
• Understand resource management and ensure quality assurance across projects.
• Provide pastoral care with empathy while maintaining high professional standards.

Client/Project Management

• Build and maintain client relationships, effectively managing challenging personalities.
• Proactively plan resources and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Identify variations in services and ensure appropriate measures are taken.

Key Qualifications and Skills

• Undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying.
• MRICS accreditation (essential).
• Minimum of 10+ years of post-graduation experience, with at least 3 years in the GCC region.
• Extensive experience in delivering mixed-use, residential, hospitality projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to deliver efficient services.
• Proficiency in FIDIC suite of contracts.
• A team player with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively.
• Strong awareness of quality assurance and resource management.
