Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor Engineer to manage all cost-related aspects of construction projects from initial estimation through final accounts. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate cost planning, budget control, and financial reporting while supporting project delivery within approved budgets and timelines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender documents.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to quantify materials and labor.
- Monitor project costs, variations, and change orders to ensure budget compliance.
- Evaluate contractor and supplier quotations and support tender evaluation processes.
- Prepare interim payment certificates, progress valuations, and final accounts.
- Track project expenditures and provide regular cost reports to management.
- Assess claims, variations, and contractual changes in coordination with project teams.
- Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and contractors to resolve cost-related issues.
- Support value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, company policies, and industry standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- from 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in construction or engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost control practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity take-off software.
- Experience preparing BOQs, cost plans, and tender documentation.
- Solid understanding of contracts (FIDIC knowledge is a plus).
- Strong analytical, numerical, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
