Senior Quantity Surveyor

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Quantity Surveyor located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cost management throughout the project lifecycle from pre-contract estimation and tendering to post-contract administration and financial reporting.

The role involves preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), managing project budgets, implementing effective cost control measures, and ensuring compliance with contractual and financial procedures. The Senior QS will collaborate closely with project teams, clients, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered within budget and in alignment with quality and contractual standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quantity Surveying and overall cost management for construction projects.
  • Pre- and post-contract administration, including tendering, BOQ preparation, and bid evaluations.
  • Preparation and verification of billing, invoices, and payment certificates.
  • Cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting throughout project execution.
  • Contract and vendor management, including drafting, negotiation, and administration.
  • Change management and handling of variations, claims, and audits.
  • Project cost estimation, feasibility studies, and value engineering.
  • Procurement and contract management, including evaluation of suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Coordination with project stakeholders to ensure cost efficiency and adherence to timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in cost control, cost management, and cost planning.
  • Strong background in pre- and post-contract activities.
  • Proficiency in cost reporting, financial analysis, and budget tracking.
  • Excellent knowledge of tendering procedures and BOQ preparation.
  • Proficiency in relevant industry tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, CostX, MS Excel, Primavera, etc.).
  • Experience in the contracting or construction industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
