Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate quantity surveying activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and financial assessments, including bills of quantities and tender documentation
- Implement effective cost control measures and conduct regular project budget reviews
- Manage and negotiate contracts, ensuring all parties adhere to agreed terms
- Conduct site evaluations, assessing work completed against budget and deliverables
- Foster strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and project teams to facilitate effective communication and collaboration
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior quantity surveyors, promoting professional growth and development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a strong focus on construction projects
- Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS) is highly desirable
- Thorough understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management techniques
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Proficient with project management and quantity surveying software
