Job Description

Job Purpose

  • Strive for business development through calls/visits to new and existing clients under guidance from seniors.
  • Managing portfolio of corporates relationships under the Manufacturing Sector.
  • Monitoring the day-to-day operations of existing relationships with corporate customers to enhance business opportunities.

  • Develop active pipeline list for potential deals from New to bank customers.
  • Develop appropriate cross selling approaches to potential and current customers to achieve maximum benefit for the organization.
  • Review customer requests and prepare necessary proposals that meets the policy and customer needs and conduct necessary discussions with WB Credit for final approvals.
  • Coordinate with business partners i.e. Treasury, Trade, Cash Management & Retail Banking teams to support all customers business requirements and all types of banking services.

Principal Accountability

Business Development.

  • Develop business by marketing new customers with cross selling opportunities.
  • Keep a close contact with existing clients to understand business dynamics/needs and identify/grow new business opportunities.
  • Keep line managers timely updated so as to augment volume of business and adjust banks business strategy for each account on a case-to-case basis to better protect banks interest.
  • Act promptly to develop and execute business opportunities ensuing sound credit quality.

Risk Management

  • Risk Management obligation is the systematic application of management policies, procedures and practices to the tasks of identifying, analyzing, evaluating, treating and monitoring risk. This helps to mitigate risks to acceptable levels of management.
  • Understanding the Banks Risk policies especially related to his/her business segment
  • Closely monitoring the assigned portfolio, to keep the portfolio healthy and avoid unauthorized excesses over limit, expired limits and overdue unpaid liabilities etc.
  • Monitoring & identifying early warning signals in any account and to keep the line manager updated for appropriate action.

Operation & Administrative Support.

  • Guide and assist AR Managers and Relationship Officers to conduct their duties smoothly.
  • Guide / assist the corporate support team and operations department staff whenever needed in operational and back office matters especially related to the corporate clients in his / her portfolio to ensure good customers service.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in finance/ commerce/ accounting and any related subject from a reputed institute/university.
  • Preferred CA /equivalent or MBA (Finance) form a reputed institute/university
  • At least 5-7 years experience in Corporate Banking in Relationship management role (including Business development) in UAE.
  • Target oriented with strong track record of achievement.
  • Effective communication skills in English, Arabic and Hindi/Urdu.
