Job Description

Job Purpose :

Building and maintaining positive client relationships, drive business growth, and enhance customer satisfaction, by identifying there business needs, and potential opportunities for collaborations while mitigating risk by adhering to the regulatory and company's policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and evaluating the financial plan for the year, as per the originations previous accomplishments and market conditions while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives to ensure effective allocation of resources and financial sustainability.
  • Assessing the creditworthiness of clients and evaluating their financial stability and risk by reviewing and analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to make informed decisions regarding loan approvals and mitigate potential risks.
  • Participating in credit approval committees, contributing insights and recommendations to ensure a thorough evaluation of loan applications, providing diverse perspectives for better decision-making.
  • Managing the business team by recruiting qualified professionals, providing training and development opportunities, and offering coaching and mentorships to build a competent and motivated team capable of achieving the company's targets.
  • Setting annual headcount budget and determining the staffing requirements based on target goals and objectives by aligning the headcount budget with the lending targets and operational needs to ensure adequate resources are allocated to achieve lending objectives efficiently.
  • Reviewing loan proposals with the team before presenting them to the committee to ensure thorough preparation, address any concerns or discrepancies, and improve the quality of proposals when needed.
  • Identifying targetable sectors and determining concentration percentages based on market analysis and regulatory requirements to focus efforts on sectors with high potential while adhering to regulatory guidelines.
  • Providing support to the team in client interactions, offering guidance and expertise when needed to enhance client relationship management and increase the likelihood of successful loan negotiations.
  • Coaching and assisting the team in handling unforeseen challenges or issues related to lending operations to ensure smooth operations and effective problem-solving during unexpected circumstances.
  • Reviewing financial and performance reports by analyzing reports on RMs pipeline, completed and pending files, and adherence to SOPs to identify areas of improvement, address bottlenecks, and take necessary actions to enhance performance.
  • Identifying targetable sectors and determining concentration percentages based on market analysis and regulatory requirements to focus efforts on sectors with high potential while adhering to regulatory guidelines.
  • Providing support to the team in client interactions, offering guidance and expertise when needed to enhance client relationship management and increase the likelihood of successful loan negotiations.
  • Coaching and assisting the team in handling unforeseen challenges or issues related to lending operations to ensure smooth operations and effective problem-solving during unexpected circumstances.
  • Reviewing financial and performance reports by analyzing reports on RMs pipeline, completed and pending files, and adherence to SOPs to identify areas of improvement, address bottlenecks, and take necessary actions to enhance performance.
  • Analyzing profitability per client and RM by evaluating the profitability of individual clients and RMs to make informed pricing decisions and performance enhancements.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to operational systems and processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity within the lending operations.
  • Establishing policies and procedures by collaborating with committee members to develop and refine policies and procedures specific to SME lending to ensure consistency, compliance, and best practices in lending operations.
  • Defining SLAs and streamlined processes for daily work to set clear expectations, enable efficient workflow, and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Related bachelor's degree (BA/Finance/Marketing/Accounting/Economics)
  • 7+ years of experience in banking or non-banking financial sector
  • Credit course is a Must
  • Strong Leadership skills is a Must
  • Excellent Command of English
