Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) program across Process and Auxiliary Plant assets, ensuring timely and high-quality data collection.
- Perform and interpret Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, and Infrared Thermography, providing clear recommendations to prevent failures.
- Analyze reliability and condition monitoring data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Drive Defect Elimination and Reliability Improvement initiatives using structured RCFA methodologies.
- Support commissioning, recommissioning, and major overhauls by developing baseline condition reports.
- Manage and continuously improve the Total Fluid Management and Lubrication Program.
- Raise and track corrective maintenance actions based on predictive findings through the maintenance management system.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, Planning, and Projects to integrate predictive insights into maintenance strategies.
- Maintain accurate reliability records, reports, and performance dashboards.
- Support budget planning and efficient use of reliability resources.
- Ensure compliance with HSSE standards, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
- Engage with OEMs, contractors, and corporate stakeholders to support reliability objectives.
- Mentor and support junior reliability or condition monitoring personnel where required.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Reliability Engineering, or a related discipline
- Formal training or certification in Reliability Engineering, Condition Monitoring, or Asset Management is preferred
- Understanding of asset management principles and maintenance strategies
- Understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards and site safety management systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, equipment datasheets, and maintenance documentation
- Familiarity with plant maintenance systems such as SAP PM / CMMS is an advantage
Experience and Skills Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in reliability engineering, condition monitoring, or fixed plant maintenance within mining, minerals processing, or heavy industry
- Proven hands-on experience with condition monitoring tools and technologies (Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, Infrared Thermography)
- Strong experience in failure analysis, defect elimination, and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
- Ability to analyze reliability data and convert findings into effective maintenance actions
- Experience in implementing and maintaining condition-based and predictive maintenance programs
- Good understanding of rotating equipment, fixed plant assets, and lubrication practices
- Experience supporting equipment commissioning, baseline condition assessment, and major shutdowns
- Strong working knowledge of SAP PM / CMMS for work order management and reporting
- Competent in preparing technical reports, dashboards, and presentations
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with Maintenance, Operations, Planning, Projects, contractors, and OEMs
