The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Reporting Specialist to lead management reporting, financial and operational performance reporting, data analysis, reporting governance, dashboard development, and reporting-process improvement.
The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical and reporting expertise with commercial awareness and attention to data quality. The role will be responsible for producing accurate and insightful reports, maintaining reporting standards, analyzing performance trends, supporting executive decision-making, and improving reporting processes through automation, standardization, and effective use of data and technology.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the preparation and delivery of recurring management, financial, operational, and performance reports.
- Develop accurate, timely, and decision-useful reporting packages for senior management and business leaders.
- Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles across relevant functions and business units.
- Establish reporting calendars, deadlines, responsibilities, review processes, and submission requirements.
- Consolidate reporting inputs from Finance, Operations, Commercial, HR, Procurement, Risk, and other business functions.
- Validate reporting submissions for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and logical integrity.
- Perform detailed analysis of financial and operational performance against budgets, forecasts, targets, prior periods, and strategic plans.
- Investigate material variances, unusual movements, trends, and reporting anomalies.
- Prepare management commentary explaining key performance drivers, risks, opportunities, and emerging trends.
- Develop executive dashboards and performance scorecards covering key business and financial indicators.
- Design reporting frameworks aligned with organizational objectives and management requirements.
- Define reporting requirements, data sources, methodologies, business rules, and calculation standards.
- Establish standardized reporting definitions, metrics, KPIs, and performance measures.
- Maintain reporting dictionaries, metric definitions, data specifications, and reporting methodologies.
- Ensure consistent interpretation and presentation of key performance indicators across departments and entities.
- Develop automated reporting solutions using business-intelligence, data-visualization, ERP, and reporting platforms.
- Build and maintain dashboards, interactive reports, management packs, and analytical tools.
- Improve reporting processes through automation, standardization, workflow optimization, and data integration.
- Identify manual reporting activities and recommend opportunities for process simplification and automation.
- Work with Data and Technology teams to improve reporting infrastructure, data pipelines, and system integrations.
- Validate data extracted from ERP, financial systems, CRM, operational platforms, and other source systems.
- Reconcile reporting data to underlying financial and operational records.
- Investigate data inconsistencies and coordinate resolution with data owners and system teams.
- Establish appropriate controls over reporting data, calculations, transformations, and outputs.
- Maintain audit trails and supporting documentation for key reports and performance metrics.
- Ensure reports are produced using approved data sources and controlled methodologies.
- Monitor reporting data quality and establish processes for identifying and correcting data issues.
- Support financial reporting by coordinating with Accounting and FP&A teams on financial results and reporting requirements.
- Support management reporting by integrating financial results with operational and commercial performance indicators.
- Analyze revenue, costs, margins, profitability, productivity, customer performance, working capital, and other relevant business metrics.
- Develop business-unit, product, service, project, customer, geographic, and functional performance reports where applicable.
- Prepare ad hoc analysis and reporting in response to management requests.
- Translate complex data into clear insights, trends, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Produce executive summaries that highlight material issues requiring management attention.
- Support strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business-review processes with relevant reporting and analysis.
- Prepare reporting materials for management meetings, business reviews, performance reviews, and executive presentations.
- Coordinate reporting submissions for board, executive, investor, regulatory, or other stakeholder requirements where applicable.
- Ensure reports comply with applicable internal policies, reporting standards, governance requirements, and confidentiality expectations.

- Develop user acceptance testing requirements for reports, dashboards, calculations, and reporting workflows.
- Validate new or modified reports before deployment into production environments.
- Prepare reporting documentation, process maps, operating procedures, and user guidance.
- Train business users and reporting stakeholders on dashboards, reporting tools, methodologies, and interpretation of key metrics.
- Mentor junior reporting and data-analysis professionals.
- Provide management with regular updates on reporting performance, data-quality issues, reporting risks, automation initiatives, and improvement opportunities.

The successful candidate should have strong experience in management reporting, financial reporting, business intelligence, performance analysis, data analytics, FP&A, or reporting operations, preferably within a complex, multinational, commercial, financial, technology, professional-services, or data-driven organization.
