Job Description

Job Purpose:

Lead and execute advanced R&D projects in hydrogen technologies, driving innovation while contributing to the institute's strategic research agenda. The Senior Researcher will design and manage high-impact research programs, mentor junior researchers, foster collaborations, and support the translation of scientific discoveries into practical, commercializable solutions. The role requires strong scientific expertise, particularly in hydrogen systems, clean energy production, materials development, and related engineering fields.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the formulation, design, and planning of research projects aligned with the organization's hydrogen strategy and national energy priorities.
  • Prepare comprehensive research proposals, defining objectives, methodologies, technical plans, and expected outcomes.
  • Guide students and junior researchers in developing high-quality research proposals that align with organization's standards.
  • Incorporate applied research methodologies relevant to hydrogen production, storage, materials development, and system integration.
  • Oversee end-to-end execution of research projects, ensuring scientific rigor, efficiency, and high-quality outputs.
  • Monitor milestones, analyze experimental data, conduct technical evaluations, and optimize methodologies using data-driven approaches.
  • Apply expertise in experiment design, data collection, inductive reasoning, and engineering principles to achieve impactful results.
  • Participate in collaborative R&D initiatives with internal teams, universities, research institutes, and external industry partners.
  • Represent the organization in scientific events, conferences, and joint research programs.
  • Provide expert scientific consultations in hydrogen technologies to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and interpret R&D outputs, determining their scientific significance and practical relevance.
  • Conduct technical assessments of emerging hydrogen technologies, ensuring their feasibility and readiness for real-world application.
  • Analyze market potential and commercial viability of new technologies in collaboration with the Technology Transfer team.
  • Support pathways for scaling technologies in hydrogen production, storage systems, novel materials, and clean energy innovations.
  • Publish high-quality research in reputable journals and present findings at scientific and industry forums.
  • Mentor junior and assistant researchers, strengthening research capabilities across the team.
  • Lead knowledge-sharing activities, ensuring effective communication of R&D insights to academic, industrial, and governmental partners.
  • Participate in exhibitions, outreach programs, and stakeholder engagements to highlight the organization's contributions to hydrogen innovation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's degree In Hydrogen technologies, clean energy systems, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science, or related fields.
  • 4+ years of experience in Hydrogen technologies, clean energy systems, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success in leading or executing R&D projects
