Strategic Role
- Advance the reputation of KRE8+ Research Center as a leading applied research center for industrial applications.
- Lead applied research and development activities in the field of mechatronics and robotics.
Operational Role
- Conduct cutting edge research in the field of mechatronics and robotics, supporting industry projects
- Drive innovation for industrial applications
- Practical implementation support for KRE8+ projects that require sensor integration, i.e. mechanical design, electronic design, CAD, CAM, integration and testing.
- Advise and support faculty on best practices for mechatronics and robotics
- Suggest meaningful sophomore projects for HCT students related to robotics
Leadership Role
- Contribute to academic course materials on mechatronics and robotics.
Qualifications
- PhD (preferred) or Bachelor's / Master's degree in Mechatronics or a related field from a recognized university.
- Advanced expertise in relevant modelling and simulation software
- Innovative mindset
Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of industry experience in developing smart systems and automation solutions.
- Strong proficiency in 3D modeling, CAM, and simulation software.
- Practical experience with 3D printing, PLC programming, pneumatics, Robotics and mechanical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams in research and development.
