Job Description
We are looking for an RF Engineer to integrate with the Signals, Acoustics & Electronics (SEA) team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and testing RF circuits used by the team. The candidate will perform activities such as:
- Design and build RF-test fixtures for small batch products
- Design and execute RF test plans for new and existing products.
- Operate and maintain RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc.
- Maintenance of existing legacy software, test fixtures and test equipment (fault finding to component level).
- Develop and implement automated tests for RF calibration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve RF performance issues.
- Automate test data analysis and generate detailed reports.
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on testability
- Working collaboratively with project team members.
Skills required for the job
- 5 or more years of experience working in product-based test/manufacturing facilities.
- Experience working in lab environments and test facilities.
- Read and understand circuit schematics and diagrams.
- Experience debugging PCBs down to component level.
- SMT soldering and rework experience
- DIY attitude for creating and maintaining tools and fixtures. Ideally has familiarity with 3D-printing and laser cutting
- Basic CAD experience (Fusion 360, SolidWorks etc.)
- Experience in testing RF systems such as Beamformers, GPS receivers, etc.
- Experience in testing RF circuits in S, L, C, and X bands.
- Experience in Python or MATLAB to develop automation scripts.
- Experience in laboratory measurements using instruments such as VNA, spectrum Analyzer, oscilloscope, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to perform RF advanced RF characterization and measurement, such as EVM measurement, large signal S-parameter measurement of power amplifiers, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multicultural research team with effective oral and
- written communication skills.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor/Master degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related fields.
- Communication skills for working in a multidisciplinary team.
