JOB OVERVIEW
The Senior Sales Engineer is the the most experienced members of a sales team and is
responsible for selling to a wide range of accounts and customers. This job is accountable for
increasing sales/client ratio and expanding customer base to increase revenue growth.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Expand the business footprint in the market and increase revenue growth by penetrating targeted
client bases at all levels.
Ensure all sales targets are met or exceeded and analyze sales metrics to determine whether current
sales strategies are effective.
Identify business opportunities at across market segments within the industry.
Cultivate solid relationships with major customers to ensure a continuous flow of sales revenue.
Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person, via phone calls and emails.
Conduct cold calls to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business.
Identify customer needs through a consultative approach and propose solutions.
Gather and research market and customer information.
Make accurate, rapid cost calculations and provide clients with quotations.
Ensure that receivables are collected on time.
Negotiate price, credit terms and contracts as per company's policy.
Maintain an up-to-date customer database.
Monitor competitors activities in the market (Products, Prices, Sales, etc.).
Report weekly sales and visit updates and provide daily feedback.
Represent the organisation at exhibitions and relevant events.
Responsible for guiding more junior sales representatives.
Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision making.
Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
WORK EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 3-5 years working experience in a similar role.
Proven experience in applicable sales area as well as experience in delivering excellent customer
service.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Relevant diploma in Sales or Marketing
Certified Sales Professional (CSP) accreditation is advantageous
