Senior Sales Engineer, Megapack Abu Dhabi

What To Expect
Tesla is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join our Energy team in Abu Dhabi. You will be the lead technical expert for Megapack and industrial battery storage, supporting growth across priority markets including the Middle East, Europe, and India.

You'll partner with sales on complex, high-value opportunities with utilities, government entities, and major industrial developers — shaping technical strategy, guiding customers through the sales cycle, and helping scale grid-scale storage as these markets accelerate renewables, grid modernization, and large-load growth.

What You'll Do

Lead pre-sales technical strategy for Megapack / BESS opportunities across assigned markets

Partner with sales to qualify deals, define solutions, and align technical and commercial positioning

Translate customer requirements into project scopes, technical documentation, and proposal inputs

Provide technical input in contract negotiations, risk reviews, and scope discussions

Act as a trusted technical advisor, including with senior customer stakeholders

Oversee preliminary design activities for engineering standards, quality, and code compliance

Track product updates, grid codes, regulations, tariffs, and competitor offerings

Identify new use cases and market segments (e.g. renewables, grid services, industrial and data center loads)

Collaborate across regional and internal teams; mentor junior colleagues as needed

What You'll Bring

5+ years in engineering, sales engineering, or project engineering in renewables, grid, or energy storage, with knowledge of and experience in European and Middle East energy markets

Strong electrical engineering background with expertise in BESS, power conversion, and grid systems

Experience supporting large infrastructure deals through the full sales cycle, including contracts and technical scopes

Strong commercial judgment, communication, and stakeholder-management skills

Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, multi-market environment

Fluency in English, Arabic and other European languages are an advantage

Based in Abu Dhabi, with regional and international travel as required
