Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior SAP Basis Consultant role based in Cairo, Egypt. The Senior SAP Basis Consultant will be responsible for installing, configuring, and administering SAP systems and landscapes, including system copies, upgrades, support packages, and patches. The role involves monitoring system performance, performing tuning activities, managing transports, and ensuring system availability, security, and backup/recovery. The consultant will troubleshoot complex technical issues, coordinate with functional and development teams, and provide expert guidance on best practices for SAP Basis and infrastructure. Daily responsibilities also include managing database-related tasks for SAP environments, documenting technical procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
Qualifications
- Strong SAP Basis and Basis Administration skills, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex SAP technical and infrastructure issues.
- Proven Consulting skills, with the ability to advise stakeholders, translate business needs into technical solutions, and lead technical discussions.
- Solid Database Administration competencies for SAP-related databases (e.g., Oracle, HANA, SQL Server), including backup, recovery, and performance optimization.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP system architecture, transport management, user and authorization management, and system security best practices.
- Experience working in on-premise or hybrid SAP environments, and familiarity with operating systems commonly used for SAP (e.g., Linux, Unix, Windows Server).
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Minimum of 3 end to end projects including senior or lead responsibilities; automotive or manufacturing industry experience is an advantage
- Migration from ECC to S4 experienceis a plus
