Job Purpose
We are seeking a Senior SAP EWM Operations and Integration Support specialist to provide hands-on
monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for one of the most advanced SAP EWM warehouse
environments in the region.
The role is focused on run, stabilize, and optimize operations in a highly automated warehouse landscape
that integrates SAP EWM with SAP TM, SAP MM, SAP Ariba, and multiple third-party automation systems.
This is not an implementation role; it is an operations-critical support role requiring deep cross-functional
SAP knowledge and strong troubleshooting skills in live production environments.
Environment Overview
The SAP EWM landscape includes:
· Tight integration with SAP TM, SAP MM, and SAP Ariba
· Fully automated warehouse operations including:
o Pick-to-Light systems
o Call button integrations
o AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles)
o AS/RS and crane systems
o Dock management with real-time screens directing trucks based on shipment execution
· Real-time material movements driven by:
o MRP-generated schedules
o JIT / JIS signals to suppliers
· Integration with 13+ third-party automation and control systems
The role requires comfort working in high-availability, high-automation environments where system issues
have immediate operational impact.
Job Role
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support & Monitoring:
· Provide L2/L3 operational support for SAP EWM in a 24x7 warehouse environment (business hours +
on‑call as required)
· Proactively monitor warehouse execution flows, queues, and integrations to identify and prevent disruptions
· Analyse and resolve issues related to:
o Inbound, outbound, internal movements
o wave management
o resource management
o yard and dock operations
Integration Troubleshooting:
· Diagnose and resolve issues across integrated systems:
o SAP EWM ↔ SAP TM (transport planning and execution)
o SAP EWM ↔ SAP MM (GR/GI, inventory consistency)
o SAP EWM ↔ SAP Ariba (JIT/JIS supplier signals)
o SAP EWM ↔ third‑party automation systems (AGVs, ASRS, pick‑to‑light, PLC interfaces)
· Identify whether issues are SAP‑side, middleware‑side, or automation‑side and coordinate resolution
accordingly
· Work closely with automation vendors, controls teams, and system integrators.
Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis:
· Lead analysis of critical production incidents impacting warehouse operations
· Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and document permanent corrective actions
· Support stabilization initiatives post‑incident to prevent recurrence
· Maintain operational runbooks and knowledge documentation
Operational Improvements & Optimization:
· Identify opportunities to improve stability, performance, and reliability of EWM processes
· Support fine‑tuning of queues, resources, waves, and automation triggers
· Advise on operational best practices for highly automated EWM environments
· Provide recommendations that reduce manual intervention and operational risk
Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination:
· Act as a technical bridge between:
o IT
o warehouse operations
o automation vendors
o AMS and system integrators
· Provide clear communication during incidents and recovery activities
· Support business users during high‑pressure operational situations
Testing & Validation:
· Collaborate with QA teams to develop test plans and validate solutions.
· Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Compliance & Security:
· Ensure that solutions comply with internal policies, industry standards, and security protocols.
· Maintain detailed documentation of all configurations, customizations, and processes for future reference and
audit purposes.
Documentation & Training:
· Develop and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and user guides.
· Provide training and support to end-users and other stakeholders.

Job Requirements
Education • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Supply Chain Management, engineering or a related field. • SAP EWM certifications (preferred). • Deep knowledge of SAP Advanced EWM functionalities: task interleaving, RF frameworks, resource management, etc. • Familiarity with ABAP for debugging purposes and working with development teams. • Experience with automation technologies and warehouse robotics (preferred). • Hands-on experience with Fiori apps related to EWM.
Experience
(Must-Have) • 7+ years hands‑on SAP EWM experience, with at least 3+ years in live operations support • Proven experience supporting highly automated warehouses • Strong knowledge of: 1. SAP EWM core processes (Inbound, Outbound, Internal, Waves, Resources) 2. SAP EWM integration with SAP TM and SAP MM • Solid understanding of automation integrations (AGVs, ASRS, PLCs, pick‑to‑light) • Experience troubleshooting real‑time execution issues, not just configuration • Comfortable working in production‑critical environments.
Strongly Preferred • Experience with JIT / JIS supply chain models • Experience supporting SAP Ariba integration with logistics processes • Exposure to MRP‑driven execution flows • Prior experience in automotive, manufacturing, or high‑throughput distribution environments • Background in AMS or hyper care support roles
