Overview
Senior script writer & video editor within the Marketing Department. This role is crucial for managing, creating, and optimizing all online content across multiple platforms to strengthen brand presence, engagement, and marketing effectiveness. This position will enhance the department's ability to deliver consistent, high-quality content, strengthen the brand's online presence (including YouTube and personal branding), and support marketing strategies for sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage content across social media, blogs, video platforms (including YouTube), and websites
- Develop and execute content strategies aligned with brand objectives and marketing goals
- Ensure all content is consistent with the company's voice, style, and branding
- Plan content calendars, campaigns, and cross-platform initiatives
- Optimize content for SEO, audience engagement, and discoverability on platforms like YouTube
- Produce high-quality content, including scripts, articles, copywriting, social media posts, graphics, and short videos
- Manage personal branding content for executives or key team members where relevant
- Coordinate with marketing, design, and media teams to maintain unified messaging
- Analyze content performance using analytics tools and adjust strategies accordingly
- Stay updated on trends in digital content, social media, and online marketing
- Present content performance insights and recommendations to senior management
Qualifications
- +5 years of experience as a script writer & video editor.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
- Relevant certifications in content marketing, SEO, digital media, or personal branding are an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of content marketing, branding, digital strategy, and personal branding principles
- Advanced understanding of SEO, social media platforms, YouTube, and online audience engagement strategies
- Proven ability to create and manage content across multiple formats, including written, visual, and video content
- Strong analytical skills to measure content performance and optimize results
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in content creation and design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing tools)
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), social media management tools, and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Power BI, etc.)
- Strong project management, organization, and time management skills
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align content initiatives with broader marketing objectives
- Creative, detail-oriented, and well-organized with strong prioritization skills
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Professional attitude with a high standard of ethical conduct
