About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Scrum Master / Product Owner who can lead delivery end-to-end: build a high-performing Agile culture, drive execution predictability, and own product outcomes. This role requires someone who combines Scrum Master leadership with Product Ownership strengthable to coach, facilitate, challenge constructively, and keep delivery aligned with business value.
Key Responsibilities (Scrum Master)
- Lead Scrum ceremonies effectively (Planning, Daily, Review, Retro) with clear outcomes and timeboxing.
- Coach teams on Agile/Scrum principles and ensure disciplined execution (Definition of Ready/Done, WIP control, focus, transparency).
- Remove impediments proactively and escalate blockers with clear options and impact.
- Improve delivery predictability and quality using metrics (velocity trends, cycle time, throughput, spillover, defect leakage).
- Build team accountability and healthy conflict resolution while maintaining psychological safety.
- Partner with Engineering Leads to improve engineering practices (estimation, slicing, CI/CD readiness, test discipline, release hygiene).
Key Responsibilities (Product Owner)
- Own and manage the product backlog: prioritization, refinement, sequencing, and scope negotiation.
- Translate business goals into clear epics/features/user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Ensure stakeholder alignment, roadmap clarity, and clear release goals per sprint/iteration.
- Define and track success metrics (business KPIs, adoption, conversion, retention, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency).
- Validate outcomes through demos, feedback loops, and data-driven decisions.
Jira Excellence (Mandatory)
- Design and maintain Jira workflows, boards, filters, dashboards, and reports aligned with delivery processes.
- Build advanced Jira queries (JQL), automation rules, and visibility dashboards for leadership and teams.
- Maintain high-quality backlog hygiene (story structure, linking, dependencies, releases, versions, epics).
Must-Have Requirements
- Minimum 5 years as a Scrum Master (strict requirement).
- Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner (hands-on backlog ownership, prioritization, stakeholder management).
- Strong ability to influence without authority and drive accountability in engineering teams.
- Excellent facilitation and conflict-management skills (can handle tough conversations professionally).
- Proven track record improving delivery metrics (predictability, quality, cycle time, throughput).
- Jira advanced proficiency is a must (dashboards, JQL, workflow design, automation).
- Strong English communication (written and spoken).
Nice-to-Have
- Scrum certifications (PSM II/III, CSM, SAFeoptional but valued).
- Experience in fintech/health-tech/SaaS platforms.
- Knowledge of discovery practices (problem framing, user interviews, hypothesis testing).
- Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD concepts and release management.

- Stabilized sprint execution and improved predictability with clear metrics and reporting.
- Backlog becomes clean, prioritized, and ready with consistent acceptance criteria.
- Developers and stakeholders see strong facilitation, clear direction, and fast blocker resolution.
- Jira dashboards provide real transparency for delivery progress and risks.
