Prepare & review control & protection cables schedule, Termination schedule, and related BOQs.
Prepare & review equipment specifications (i.e., large power transformers, breakers, voltage regulators, switchgears, surge arresters, etc.) ensuring compliance with project specifications and relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Evaluate supplier proposals and select equipment based on technical requirements and project specifications.
Review of Supplier Drawings/Calculations including but not limited to protection, Control, and telecommunication systems of the substation.
Monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and manage resources effectively.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
Identify any concerns during design process and report to Lead Electrical Engineer
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering – Electrical Power Major.
5+ years of working experience in Secondary design of substations and/or power plants.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (IEC, IEEE, NEC, etc.).
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
