Join a leading consulting engagement supporting a major enterprise organization in Doha, Qatar, undergoing significant cybersecurity and technology transformation initiatives.
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Security Architecture Expert to lead security architecture reviews, assess enterprise technology solutions, and define security requirements for new business and technology initiatives. This role will play a key part in ensuring that all new solutions are designed with security-by-design principles and comply with enterprise cybersecurity standards.
This is a strategic and advisory-focused role where you will collaborate closely with enterprise architects, solution architects, infrastructure teams, application owners, and cybersecurity stakeholders to review solution designs, identify security risks, and establish appropriate security controls before implementation.
The successful consultant will provide expert guidance across enterprise architecture, cloud services, infrastructure, applications, and digital transformation initiatives while ensuring alignment with organizational security policies, industry standards, and best practices.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced Security Architects, Enterprise Security Consultants, and Cybersecurity Architecture professionals with extensive experience supporting large enterprises, consulting firms, financial institutions, or government organizations.
This is a 12-month contract / freelance engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Security Architecture Review
- Perform security architecture assessments for new enterprise technology solutions and Solution Design Documents (SDDs)
- Review proposed architectures to ensure compliance with enterprise cybersecurity standards and security-by-design principles
- Identify security risks, architectural gaps, and potential vulnerabilities during solution design
- Provide recommendations to strengthen the security posture of new technology initiatives
Security Control Design
- Define security architecture requirements for enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud, and digital platforms
- Recommend appropriate preventive, detective, and corrective security controls
- Ensure security controls align with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Support secure system design throughout the solution lifecycle.
Enterprise Security Advisory
- Partner with enterprise architects, solution architects, infrastructure teams, and project stakeholders
- Participate in architecture review boards and technical design discussions
- Provide strategic guidance on enterprise security architecture decisions
- Support cybersecurity governance initiatives across multiple technology projects.
Risk Assessment & Compliance
- Evaluate security risks associated with new technologies and business initiatives
- Perform architecture-level security risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with internal security standards and applicable regulatory requirements
- Recommend remediation strategies for identified risks.
Documentation & Stakeholder Engagement
- Produce security architecture documentation, assessment reports, and security recommendations
- Document security requirements for project implementation teams
- Present findings and recommendations to senior technology leadership and project stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement of enterprise security architecture practices.
Required Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Cybersecurity
- At least 3 years of specialized experience in Security Architecture
- Proven experience conducting enterprise security architecture reviews and solution assessments
- Strong knowledge of enterprise security architecture frameworks and security-by-design principles
- Experience defining security controls for enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and digital solutions
- Strong understanding of network security, identity and access management, cloud security, application security, and enterprise infrastructure
- Experience performing architecture-level security risk assessments
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and business stakeholders
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills
- Experience working within large enterprise or consulting environments is highly preferred
- Enterprise security certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, TOGAF, or equivalent are highly advantageous
- Immediate or short-notice availability is preferred
