Job Description

  • Design, deploy, operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot complex IP networks and interconnected network security technologies.
  • Provide timely response to all incidents, outages, and performance alerts.
  • Design, implement, and manage Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs)
  • Configure and administer Panorama for centralized management
  • Deploy and manage GlobalProtect VPN (remote access and site-to-site)
  • Implement and optimize Threat Prevention, URL Filtering, and DNS Security
  • Manage WildFire for advanced malware detection and analysis
  • Configure Application Control (App-ID), User-ID, and Content-ID policies
  • Implement SSL Decryption and traffic inspection policies
  • Perform traffic analysis, threat hunting, and incident response
  • Optimize firewall performance and ensure high availability (HA)
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits
  • Collaborate with SOC teams and support incident investigations
  • Provide L2/L3 support and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Handle escalated incidents effectively.
  • Collaborate with other technology support groups as part of problem resolution efforts.
  • Support operational needs and ensure minimal downtime for critical services.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of complex IP networks.
  • At least 8+ years of industry experience in network/security engineering roles.
  • Solid understanding of network security technologies, data center traffic flow, and advanced troubleshooting techniques
  • Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks full security stack
  • Expertise in: NGFW deployment and management, Panorama centralized management, VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN via GlobalProtect), and Security profiles (Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware, Vulnerability Protection)
  • In-depth knowledge of: App-ID, User-ID, Content-ID, SSL decryption and certificate management, Network protocols, routing, and switching
  • Experience with Cortex XDR (EDR) and familiarity with XSOAR/XSIAM
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Relevant certifications: PCNSE (Preferred), CISSP / CISM (added advantage)
