Job Title: Senior Resident Engineer API Security
Location: Riyadh, KSA
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary on-site Wallarm technical authority for the customer.
- Build trusted relationships with security, platform, SRE, DevOps, and application teams
- Provide architectural guidance for securing APIs, microservices, and web applications
- Lead deployment and configuration of Wallarm across customer environments (cloud, Kubernetes, on-prem, hybrid)
- Integrate Wallarm with CI/CD pipelines, API gateways, ingress controllers, WAFs, SIEMs, and monitoring tools
- Tune policies, detection models, and enforcement modes to minimize false positives while maximizing protection
- Assist with onboarding new applications, APIs, and services into Wallarm
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to API security events, attacks, and anomalies
- Provide hands-on training and knowledge transfer to customer teams
- Develop documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures tailored to the customer
- Serve as the escalation point between the customer and Wallarm Support and Engineering
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with API security, application security, or cloud security
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, or microservices architectures
- Familiarity with REST, GraphQL, gRPC, and modern API frameworks
- Experience with Linux, networking fundamentals, and HTTP/TLS
- Knowledge of WAFs, API gateways, reverse proxies, or ingress controllers, NGINX is a plus
- Ability to analyze logs, traffic, and security events
Professional Experience
- 5+ years in a technical role such as Security Engineer, DevOps Engineer, SRE, Solutions Architect, or Support Engineer
- Prior experience in a customer-facing or embedded (resident) role is strongly preferred
- Experience working with enterprise or highly regulated environments is a plus
