The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day construction and site activities, coordinate contractors and trades, monitor workmanship and progress, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will provide strong on-site leadership, resolve construction issues, coordinate resources and subcontractors, maintain accurate site records, and work closely with project management and technical teams to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily construction and site activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate and monitor contractors, subcontractors, trades, technicians, and site personnel.
  • Plan daily work activities and allocate resources according to project priorities and site conditions.
  • Review construction schedules and coordinate site activities to support planned milestones.
  • Monitor progress against approved programs and identify potential delays or resource constraints.
  • Coordinate sequencing and interfaces between different trades and construction activities.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify progress, workmanship, materials, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Ensure construction activities are performed in accordance with approved drawings and technical documentation.
  • Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, method statements, and relevant technical submissions before work begins.
  • Identify discrepancies, design conflicts, constructability issues, and site constraints.
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, consultants, project managers, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
  • Escalate design changes, variations, delays, and significant construction issues to the appropriate project team.
  • Monitor setting-out, dimensions, levels, alignment, installation, and construction tolerances.
  • Verify that materials delivered to site comply with approved specifications and requirements.
  • Inspect delivered materials for damage, quantity, quality, and appropriate documentation.
  • Coordinate material storage, handling, protection, and availability at the worksite.
  • Monitor contractor workmanship and ensure completed work meets required quality standards.
  • Identify defective or non-conforming work and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Support quality inspections, testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover activities.
  • Coordinate inspections with consultants, engineers, quality teams, and relevant authorities where required.
  • Maintain records of inspections, approvals, test results, site instructions, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure approved inspection and test plans are followed for relevant construction activities.
  • Monitor site activities for compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Enforce safe working practices, PPE requirements, access controls, housekeeping standards, and site safety procedures.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses, and significant safety risks.
  • Coordinate with Health & Safety teams on site inspections, corrective actions, and safety improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure contractors comply with approved risk assessments, method statements, permits, and safety requirements.
  • Monitor housekeeping, waste management, access routes, temporary works, and general site conditions.
  • Coordinate plant, equipment, tools, temporary facilities, and other resources required for site activities.
  • Monitor equipment availability and report breakdowns or resource constraints that may affect progress.
  • Coordinate lifting activities, deliveries, access arrangements, and material movements where applicable.
  • Manage site logistics and coordinate deliveries to minimize disruption and maintain productivity.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance against contractual, technical, quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
  • Conduct regular coordination meetings with subcontractors and trade teams.
  • Communicate daily priorities, work instructions, constraints, and project requirements to site personnel.
  • Maintain effective communication between field teams, engineering teams, project management, and contractors.
  • Prepare daily site reports covering manpower, activities, progress, materials, equipment, inspections, issues, and incidents.
  • Maintain accurate site diaries, records, photographs, drawings, instructions, and progress documentation.
  • Track site queries, technical issues, requests for information, and outstanding actions.
  • Support preparation and review of progress reports and construction updates.
  • Monitor manpower levels and productivity against project requirements.
  • Identify resource shortages and coordinate additional manpower or equipment when required.
  • Verify completed quantities and support measurement and progress verification activities.
  • Provide input into subcontractor progress assessments and payment certification where applicable.
  • Support variation identification and documentation by recording changes in scope, quantities, and site conditions.
  • Monitor approved variations and ensure additional work is properly documented and authorized.
  • Assist with project planning by providing practical site information, productivity data, and construction sequencing input.
  • Identify potential schedule risks and recommend recovery measures.
  • Coordinate work fronts to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Support construction planning for upcoming activities, access requirements, materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings, coordination meetings, toolbox talks, and progress reviews.
  • Coordinate testing, commissioning, completion, snagging, and handover activities.
  • Verify that completed works are ready for inspection and acceptance.
  • Monitor snagging and ensure outstanding defects are addressed within agreed timelines.
  • Support preparation of as-built information and handover documentation.
  • Ensure work areas are properly completed, cleaned, protected, and ready for handover.
  • Promote a professional, collaborative, and accountable site culture.
  • Mentor junior supervisors and provide practical guidance to site teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve construction methods, productivity, safety, quality, and site coordination.
  • Provide project management with timely escalation of major construction, quality, safety, resource, and schedule risks.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate should have strong experience in construction supervision, site management, building construction, civil works, fit-out, MEP coordination, infrastructure, or related project delivery environments, preferably within a complex commercial, residential, hospitality, industrial, or large-scale development project.

The candidate should demonstrate:

  • Proven experience supervising construction and site activities from mobilization through completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, materials, and site operations.
  • Experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, trades, and site personnel.
  • Strong ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and method statements.
  • Experience monitoring construction progress against approved schedules.
  • Strong understanding of construction quality requirements and inspection processes.
  • Experience identifying defective work, non-conformances, and construction issues.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
