Senior Software Asset Management (SAM) Administrator

In this role, you will collaborate closely with one of our esteemed clientsa global leader in their industry, recognized for their commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence. They have partnered with Dautom as their trusted IT consulting provider for upcoming strategic initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience

• 610 years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) or Software Licensing.
• Strong hands-on licensing expertise across major vendors, including:
• Microsoft (M365, Windows Server, SQL, AVS licensing)
• Adobe
• Autodesk / AutoCAD
• Oracle Database & Middleware
• VMware / Broadcom
• Red Hat subscriptions
• Practical experience with enterprise SAM tools:
• SNOW Software
• Flexera
• ServiceNow SAM Pro
• Proven involvement in vendor negotiations and contracting.
• Experience supporting major software vendor audits.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Deep expertise in complex licensing models across multiple OEMs.
• Strong ability to perform license reconciliation, compliance checks, and optimization.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros) and Power BI dashboards.
• Good understanding of CMDB structure, data quality, and discovery/inventory tools.

Business & Soft Skills

• Strong negotiation skills and vendor relationship management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation capabilities.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to simplify and explain licensing rules to non-technical or business stakeholders.
