In this role, you will collaborate closely with one of our esteemed clientsa global leader in their industry, recognized for their commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence. They have partnered with Dautom as their trusted IT consulting provider for upcoming strategic initiatives.

Job Summary

The Senior Software Asset Management (SAM) Administrator is responsible for the full lifecycle, governance, compliance, and cost optimization of software assets across clients hybrid, cloud, and on-premise environments.

This role ensures accurate license tracking, audit readiness, contract optimization, and strategic vendor negotiation across enterprise software platforms such as Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk/AutoCAD, Oracle, VMware/Broadcom, and Red Hat.

The role collaborates with Procurement, FinOps, Cloud, Security, Operations, Legal, and Vendors to minimize risk, control costs, and maintain compliance across the entire software estate.

Work closely with:

Qualifications & Experience

  • 610 years of experience in Software Asset Management or Licensing.
  • Strong expertise in licensing for:
  • Microsoft (M365, Windows Server, SQL, AVS)
  • Adobe
  • Autodesk / AutoCAD
  • Oracle Database & Middleware
  • VMware / Broadcom
  • Red Hat subscriptions
  • Hands-on experience with SAM tools:
  • SNOW, Flexera, ServiceNow SAM Pro
  • Experience leading or supporting major vendor audits.
  • Proven experience in vendor negotiations.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Deep understanding of licensing models and entitlement structures.
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and asset reporting skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
  • Familiar with CMDB structures and inventory/discovery tools.

Soft Skills

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to simplify licensing complexities for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)
  • Microsoft Licensing Specialist (MLSS)
  • Flexera / SNOW certifications
  • ITIL v4 Foundation
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner
