Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior IT License & Financial Management Specialist with strong experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), engineering software licensing, license optimization, and IT financial management.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing engineering/technical software licenses, particularly concurrent license environments such as FlexLM/FlexNet, with exposure to tools such as OpeniT, OpenLM, Flexera, ServiceNow SAM, or similar platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the complete lifecycle of software licenses, from procurement through renewal and retirement.

- Manage and optimize engineering software licenses across the organization.

- Monitor license utilization, consumption and compliance.

- Manage concurrent licensing environments, including FlexLM/FlexNet.

- Identify opportunities for license optimization and cost reduction.

- Prepare license usage reports, consumption summaries and financial analysis.

- Support software audits, reconciliation and compliance activities.

- Manage software contracts, renewals and vendor relationships.

- Maintain accurate software asset inventories.

- Develop and maintain SAM processes, policies, SOPs and reporting.

- Work with IT, engineering, procurement and finance teams to optimize software spend.

Required Experience

- 8–12 years of total IT experience, with at least 5 years in Software Asset Management, software licensing or IT financial management.

- Strong experience with engineering/technical software licensing.

- Hands-on experience with FlexLM/FlexNet and concurrent license environments.

- Experience with engineering applications such as:

- ANSYS

- MATLAB / MathWorks

- PTC Creo

- SolidWorks

- CATIA

- Siemens Teamcenter

- Altair

- Other engineering software.

- Experience with SAM/license management tools such as OpeniT, OpenLM, Flexera, ServiceNow SAM, Snow, or similar.

- Strong understanding of software licensing models and vendor agreements.

- Experience in license utilization, optimization, compliance and cost reduction.

- Exposure to major vendors such as SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, Autodesk, Dassault Systèmes and Siemens is preferred.

- Oil & Gas, engineering, manufacturing or other technical industry experience is highly preferred.

- Strong analytical and reporting skills.

- Good understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles.

Education & Certifications

- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or a related field.

- ITIL Foundation, CSAM, ISO 19770, FlexNet/SAM certifications are an advantage.
